SEGA has today unveiled one of two exclusive missions made for the PlayStation 3 House of the Dead: Overkill re-release. Playing as Varla Guns (an NPC from the main game) and her scantily-clad companion Candy the mission, appropriately dubbed “Naked Terror,” will direct you through the eerie backstreets, strip clubs and bars of Bayou City following the zombie outbreak.
Despite its efforts in the past HotD has never been taken seriously where plot and characters are concerned; though Overkill doesn’t break any ground in terms of narrative it’s a fresh outlook for a fondly-remembered gaming franchise beginning to grow stale.
The House of the Dead: Overkill is due to launch this October with a number of bonus PlayStation 3 features including Move controls and trophy support.

If it was at budget price I would consider, although I want Sorcery not arcade shooters!!
Jim H [Teabags]
Agreed, and I think SEGA will play it safe and launch Overkill at around the £25 mark. Sorcery is one of my most anticipated games of 2011 and hopefully it will turn up sooner rather than later. I reckon Sony are trying to expand the game outside of the singleplayer but want to keep things fairly under wraps.

I would hope that it would be released at round about the 25 quid mark, however, a quick google shopping search shows GAME taking pre-orders at 30, with most other retailers at 40. Obviously these could just be placeholder prices, but it doesn’t bode well.

have you ever seen the film zombie strippers?
that is one messed up movie.
TheChaosGamer
Erm, thankfully not, you decided to watch it why?
scavenga
Why would one not watch a movie by that name?
‘Twas a disappointment, though. Yawn.

“Soldier, what was that thing we stopped the other day?”
“Armageddon sir”
It was quite a bad film although that ^^ made me chuckle a little

With Jenna Jameson and Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger!)
I may have seen such a movie.
;)

Just added it to my Lovefilm list….. ;-)

Excited about this game, any word if it’s Sharpshooter compatible, or if a regular gun attachment will suffice?
Jim H [Teabags]
I haven’t played the original Wii title myself, though if it’s anything like older iterations of HotD, it will be completely on-rails. This means players won’t have any control over character movement, which means you will only need a single Move controller to play.

Cheers, Jim! :)

Cant wait for this game!

Finally fingers crossed a decent rail shooter for my move!

I don’t understand why some people play games when they do the real thing……………
TafKas
This looks epic! I played it on the wii at a friends and loved every minute of it. Day one purchase for me.

I always think light gun games are a grat idea, then I only play then once or twice with mates after a drink.
gaffers101
After buying my Move controller I’ve hardly used it. This looks like it may be worth a try.

I once watched a film called Zombie Strippers – it was on our “What’s the worst film we can find?” film night. It’s definitely up there amongst the worst films I’ve ever seen.
Crazy_Del
I have to agree, no idea why I watched it but it mentioned Jenna Jameson and Strippers and of course Zombies – I love zombies.
