It has been another exceptionally strong year for PlayStation 3 Exclusives. Sony’s first party studios have really given strong support for the past two or three years now and, while we expect things to slow a little bit in 2012, the PS3’s exclusive catalogue is looking amazing.
There was always a strong favourite for this category though. Killzone 3 and inFamous 2 should perhaps have been stronger contenders than they were but the fact that more recent games are always a stronger presence in our minds meant that the competition may have had a slight advantage.
That’s not to say that our winner is undeserving. Certainly not. The winner is one of the most engaging, well made and exciting action games of this generation. It has continued the exceptional progress in the genre forged by its predecessors and has completed a trilogy which exemplifies modern game design. TheSixthAxis PlayStation 3 Exclusive Game of the Year 2011 is the sublime Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

I ‘think’ the logic behind ME2 being on it is the fact its different experience on PS3. Graphical engine is different and othe rlittle tweeks (such as less hacking).
Still a stretch tho if i’m right.

Have to say I was disappointed with Uncharted 3 and Killzone 3, Resistance 3 was my favourite, with inFAMOUS 2 a close runner up.

Seriously? I thought Resistance 3 was the worst out of the trilogy by far. Killzone was let down by its MP again.
Uncharted though is a must-buy for PS3, such a great game both SP & MP.

i would have gone for infamous 2, but then i haven’t played uncharted 3 so i couldn’t say i think the wrong game was chosen.

and of course even if i had played it, i still couldn’t say it was wrong, just that i had a different opinion, unless of course having played it i thought that it was better than infamous 2.
in which case i’d say that you made absolutely the right choice. ^_^

Great, have to say. I was beginning to dislike UC3 until the alt aiming controls were released. They were a lifesaver… (in game)
