Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed Coming to Vita

Sony have just announced (or re-announced, since they hinted at it already) that two massive franchises, Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed, will be coming to PlayStation Vita later this year.

The Call of Duty game is dubbed Black Ops: Declassified, though there’s not much else know, except that it will be a fully multiplayer first person shooter in the palm of your hand and that it will be out this ‘holiday season’. We’ve been told to expect more news in the coming months, naturally.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation (which had been previously leaked), though, did get some more information and even a trailer. The protagonist appears to be a female assassin and the game is set in New Orleans, it will feature touch controls along with camera and Near functionality.

The game also links to the PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed III to unlock certain things such as items, multiplayer skins and ammo pouches. It looks absolutely brilliant and even as though it could match the home console versions of Assassin’s Creed.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation will release on October 30th. In the US, Liberation will be bundled with a white Vita, though there’s no word on whether this will reach our shores.
