Imagine for a moment that you’re planning a 90 minute showcase of the best your gaming brand has to offer. Will you include lengthy demonstrations of some quite impressive games or will you dedicate 15 minutes to pictures books and say “J K Rowling” as often as you can?
I’m being facetious, of course, and it’s perhaps time we let the tedium of E3 stage shows fade into distant memories. I’m just constantly reminded of how much better it could have been, had the big players decided to show off what they’ve got a little differently.
Kratos did make an appearance but it wasn’t as much of a spectacle as we were expecting. Thankfully, that spectacle can now be expanded, thanks to gameplay videos like these.
Here’s a single player gameplay montage, it’s titled as a trailer but not really cut like one. Regardless, it shows Kratos doing what Kratos does best: murdering huge things and huge numbers of things.
Next up, it’s a demonstration of the mulitplayer gameplay. Again: lots of murdering and lots of things.
It all looks quite spectacular, doesn’t it. Which begs the question, again, why didn’t Sony make a bigger deal of it in LA? Ultimately, who really cares now? Let’s just watch those videos again and forget about Wonderbooks!

Is it me or does it seem that the Art style is not the typical GOW style but more of a light hearted art style? It seems there is more variety of moves and have they chucked out the QTEs? Refuse to watch the MP as i believe GOW should not have it. Mainly due to the nature of it that and there is no horde mode. GOW would be perfect for it as Kratos has take on hordes of enemies in every GOW game to date.

At the end of the day, they have decided to include a multiplayer component, so why not take a look to see what it’s all about?
I won’t watch it personally, as;
a) i am at work & i can’t &
b) am really quite bored with Kratos’ antics now & won’t be getting it anyway
But if it is something that interests you (the game, not the mp), you may as well take a look & see what to expect right? Jim seems quite impressed at least.

I did watch the Kratos kills thing show thought and looks better then previous installments. I found GOW1&2 a bit repitive to be honest. Also, he’s not that pissed off. :O

No offence Steven, but it’s a wee bit stupid to ignore what Santa Monica are doing with multiplayer. For all we know it could be an absolute train wreck, but it’s something new and inventive and deserves merit.

True but i’ve seen a lot of tacked on MP on single player games and to be honest, fed up with seeing the same stuff but in a different skin. May give the MP a chance to see if they’ve done something that has not been done or if it’s just the typical tacked on MP but covered in GOW. :)

Just gave the MP a chance and watched the video. Looks good. And i believe has elimanated any chance of someone camping. :O I like the excutions and it seems it will be very intense every match. I think it may require more skill then being a level 50+ in order to win a match. I wonder if there will be online boss fights. Such as 4 players have to work together to kill a massive monster and teamwork is the key to taking it down instead of doing a Kratos and killing it yourself.
