So here is today’s big news, Deus Ex: The Fall is a mobile and tablet game! Woohoo! Check out the video above, in which two blokes sit and play the game whilst the cameraman spends plenty of time filming the back of an iPad.
Fans have reacted with polite irritation to the news, well, I say polite irritation but I mean rage-fueled hate. The top comment on the video is “This is called ‘The Fall’ because it shows how corporate mobile-loving shills are bringing down the Dues Ex franchise.”
The video has 150 likes and a rapidly rising 2,300 dislikes at time of writing. Oh dear.

Why didn’t they develop this as a Vita exclusive? The Vita is a portable gaming platform with better potential for this kind of game! It is a ridiculous decision for this to go iTunes exclusive!

I rarely swear when i see a headline but this is one of them. This is a massive middle finger to the audience and there is no reason for it to be a table and mobile game. The franchise is still strong and people would buy a sequel to HR but instead, you decided to take a collective dump on 100% of your fanbase by annoucing the fall as a mobile game due to the franchise being both on consoles and PC. I think it’s say to safe that Adam did not ask for this. *gets shot for using outdated TSA meme*

Not a fantastic idea, especially after they’ve done such a good job of bringing back Deus Ex.
The game looks visually impressive though, and i’m sure it’ll be good and probably make a bit of money, but they’ve obviously misjudged this.
Give us a Vita version and we’ll forgive you.

Looks great…..what’s the problem?
The problem is that everyone assumed that it was a major console/PC title and it never was (to assume makes an ASS out of U and ME).
As an iPad game I reckon it’ll be great and I will buy it. I LOVED Mass Effect Infiltrator and have been waiting for a good, near-console quality game for a while.

Because I don’t want to play a game with virtual buttons. I love my Nexus 7 but I’m never going to play a full-fledged game on it. Deus Ex is a great series and it is kind of sad to see a game in a series I love, that I will most likely never play.
