Resogun DLC Incoming While Housemarque Work On A New PS4 Title

Housemarque have confirmed on their Facebook page that they’re working on Resogun DLC rather than a PS Vita version of the game when asked by a fan.

Presumably this will include new levels, modes or even ships for the side-scrolling carousel shooter, though no details have been shared of what this could entail – hopefully support for 3D, which would be an incredible thing to look at and follow in the footsteps of Super Stardust HD.

Still, it’s nice to see that something more will be coming to the game. The five included levels are becoming quite repetitive now, even if there is a lot of replay value in trying to top the leaderboards. Plus, it’d be nice to actually pay them for something!

This news comes from a comment on a post announcing that Resogun has been nominated for Action Game of the Year at the DICE Awards, where the creator of Defender – a clear inspiration – will also accept a Pioneer Award on the same night.

They’re also working on a new PS4 title, which could well be Dead Nation 2, though we were aware of them having various projects in the works a while back.

  2. I would love to see Dead Nation 2, but also more Resogun – especially some new enemy types – would be most welcome too.

    • Agreed. Dead Nation was a lovely twin stick shooter co-op title. More of this, please. :-)

      • I concur, more Dead Nation please! I know it’s coming to Vita soon (which I assume is the original).

  4. The best thing they could do with DLC is the add the support for local co-op, that really would push the game to the top of my list.

  6. As much as I love my Vita, I’m happy to see they’ve prioritised new content over making a port. Can’t wait to see what they release next. Hope they make another game with some local co-op as well.
