Gazza’s not about this week, busy with things in the real life, so you’ve got me instead. Now, it’s been a while since I’ve had to take the reigns, so let’s see if I can remember how this is meant to go…
I think I’m meant to push this big red button…

That looks about right.
There’s no competitions news this week, but I’m sure we’ll have something juicy on the Plus Point Challenge front soon. Moving straight on to the meets, and there’s just McPhatty’s Tuesday night Killzone: Mercenary meet at 7PM set up for the time being. Unfortunately, that’s not much good for me, or I’d probably come along for a few games.
After skipping a few weeks, I’ll certainly be along for a spot of Gran Turismo 6 on Monday night, as is traditional. It’s often missing a meets entry, but you all know the drill.
Feel free to create a meet of your own, though, and rustle up a band of scrappy TSA members. You just need 250 TSA points to do so.
While you’re here, you should nip over to Battlelog and join TSA’s Battlefield 4 platoon, if you have any version of that game. We should get some foursomes playing and actually earn that platoon some points!
Looks like I’ve been slacking off on the previews front, though I did bring a look at OnLive’s relaunch to the table, but we’ve a nice haul of reviews for you. Jim got things rolling with the intriguing but flawed Dustforce, which he awarded a 6/10, and rounded things out with the generally bad Magus.
I awarded The Pinball Arcade an 8/10, while Blair also gave the second installment of The Walking Dead Season 2 an 8/10. The much anticipated release of South Park: The Stick of Truth saw Dan Lee also award an 8/10, with just length and some frame rate issues as the minor detractions.
This week also saw the release of Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition for PS4, which many of you will have picked up courtesy of PS+. Unfortunately, Tuffcub found it had a lot of problems with bugs, when he looked at how this update stacked up against the PS3 original.
Indie Focus saw Gamoc looking at Banished, a curious blending of the survival genre with management sims. The more retrospective weekly features saw Aran’s Matter of Perspective have a look at Bayonetta, while Jim’s PlayBack saw him returning to Mass Effect 3.
Last week’s Chronicle sampled opinions from the Xbox One price drop, South Park’s EU cuts and Santa Monica’s layoffs, and continuing the community focussed features, WeView wrapped up opnions on Rayman Legends before opening the opinion polls to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Peter got his “sensible speculation” hat screwed on and looked at where Jack Tretton could see himself in the future, while he was also part of the podcast crew that chatted to Lorne Lanning and Stewart Gilray about Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty! for a very special episode of the podcast.
Finally, Greg compiled the weekly round up of what we played in What We Played #146.

It’s always good to stick your head into the forums occasionally, but they can be a bit quiet.
- Youles asked about the game that got away from you. Was there evera game you really wanted, but never owned?
- I chucked a bunch of shenanigans laden screenshot from Splinter Cell: Blacklist in the Screenshots thread.
- There’s also plenty of chit chat in the thread that asks “What are you playing?“
As I said, it’s been a little quiet, but if you have any suggestions for how to liven things up, do speak up!
That’s it for this week, then. Gazza will hopefully be back next time and fingers crossed his job interview’s gone well.

A busy week on TSA. Good to see the forums having a bit of life too!
I’m still looking for a partner for Dead Nation Co-op if there’s anyone out there interested?

I think that the screenshots thread is borked or has reached it’s resource limit, I’ve tried twice now to post some shots but nothing will appear.
I remember last time I posted a few pics in the thread and had to await permission via email from TSA staff before the post appeared. But this time I’ve waited for 3 or four days and no email or post appearing, just tried again now and nothing appeared.
Great stuff, I started the thread and can’t even post to it now…pffffttt!

I’ll keep an eye out for those emails, I missed a couple this week and they have to be done manually.
Not sure why you’re getting caught up in that. Maybe aim for 4 or fewer photos per message? There’s no hard limit that I’m aware of, but could be something…

Cheers Tef, it would seem that my earlier post in the screenshot thread was approved and has posted successfully after your intervention.
I think there may be a 3 picture limit before approval is needed for submission. I’ll keep to that limit anyway to be sure of posting in the forum without triggering the alert button! ;)
