Well, how was your week? E3 has come and gone, leaving behind a plethora of announcements and trailers, and this year was quite something. That said, I was still a little disappointed it was all over so soon. The build up was brilliant, there were more pre-announcements than you could shake a stick at, but when it came to the conferences themselves, they just felt a little tame, don’t you think?
Let me know your thoughts on E3, now that you’ve had a few days to digest everything, but not before you read this week’s Community Round-Up!

Looking at the Meets, Monday will see the Project Cars meet, followed by Battlefield on Friday, with a few GTA V Heists meets thrown in also.
If you’d rather play something else, you can add your own Meet to the list, provided you have more than 250 TSA Points.
No points for guessing it was pretty quiet for the reviews and previews this week. Our high scorer this week was LEGO Jurassic World. Dom says the 8/10 game “strikes an excellent balance between delivering a nostalgic take on a beloved series of movies, whilst incorporating the brand new Jurassic World storyline as well”, although he also notes that some people may start to find the formula a bit tired.
Our second review was given half the score of our first, and sat on a 4/10. Jim described how Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy falls short in almost all areas; with dull combat, boring dungeons and weak characters.
On the preview front, it was even quieter with just Gareth looking at Big Pharma, an Early Access tycoon game that sees you run a pharmaceutical corporation. Dom also had a look at Elder Scrolls Online on console, although it’s poor graphics and problematic servers mean it may be worth waiting a while before picking this one up, even if there is fun to be found.
From the Blogs, Stefan asked Who Won E3?, and Jim looked at how Ubisoft gave a strong performance. After Bethesda announced their Fallout Mobile game, Fallout Shelter, Blair has been getting stuck in, looking after his vault dwellers. Lastly from the blogs, Jim looked at what we hope Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will get right when it launches later this year.
Looking at the Community articles, the Chronicle discussed Mirror’s Edge, The Last Guardian and Youtube Gaming in Hot Topics. Bloodborne received a unanimous Buy It Verdict, while this weeks WeView is for you to share your thoughts on E3 2015 itself.
Elsewhere, podcast fans were spoilt for choice this week. We began with a Pre-E3 Special, followed by in-depth discussion dedicated to the conferences, including Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and the Third Party Publishers.
Finishing up, What We Played #208 featured Elder Scrolls, Fallout Shelter, and LEGO Jurassic Park.

After a busy week on the front page, let’s delve into the Forums:
- Fillip2k wants to know what your thoughts are on pre-orders?
- And people are discussing who won E3 in A Inferior Races thread
Enjoy your weekend, and I’ll see you next time!

Well for me it was Just Cause 3 and Ratchet and Clank next gen (still find PS3 current :P)
that got my biggest thumbs up.
Cracking job by Microsoft adding backwards compatability to XBoxOne’s arsenal as I’d guess that there’ll still be lots of people like myself still very much in touch with last gen.
