Metal Gear Solid V Gamescom Presentation Is All About Mother Base

For starters, sorry about the sub-heading, it had to be done. A very lengthy Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain presentation shown during Gamescom was just released online, and it shows some fantastic footage of the ‘Mother Base’ in action.

For the uninitiated, the Mother Base is basically your home in The Phantom Pain, and you have a plethora of options at your disposal for how to grow it, stock/staff it and maybe even protect it, depending on your preference. Your Mother Base can help you as you progress through the main game, but you can also grow your Mother Base into several forward operating bases, which double as the game’s MMO aspect and a way to gather additional resources, which is exactly what the presentation covers.
