Something For The Weekend – 27/05/17

The bank holiday weekend is here, and it’s a cracking weekend for sport! From the streets of Monaco to the pitch at Wembley, there’s plenty of action over the next few days.

It’s also great BBQ weather, so whatever you’re up to, make the most of it while it lasts!

 This Week’s Features

We began the week with Jake looking at Micro Machines World Series, Codemasters attempt to bring back to life everyone’s childhood memories of the little racers.

Antihero, meanwhile, is a game with the aim of creating “a successful thieves guild that can succeed at completing various objectives in fast paced turn-based matches” says Aran. Elsewhere, Stefan looked at the highly anticipated Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, which he describes as a “massive nostalgia trip”.

Jim sets out the reasons why he thinks Overwatch is still the king, even 1 year after release.

Lastly, we rounded off the week with What We Played, which this time featured Rime, Injustice 2 & Final Fantasy XIV.

Your Achievements

For the trophy hunters out there, Crazy_Del is just two trophies away from the platinum for Injustice 2, and also found the time to complete Dead Nation with Tony.

Elsewhere, ron_mcphatty (with the help of Forrest) grabbed all the multiplayer trophies in Carmageddon, while tactical20 completed Ghost Recon Wildlands. He says he’ll wait for the next free PS+ weekend to grab the two final multiplayer trophies standing between him and the platinum.

It looks like the rest of you, such as Eldave0, have been enjoying the sunshine this week, but I’m sure you’ll get some gaming time in over the bank holiday weekend!

  1. I received an email out of the blue inviting me to join the closed beta of Everybody’s Golf this weekend so I’ll be spending my time, in-between watching the motor sport, playing golf.
