There was a very, very brief patch of rain this week, and the weekend’s starting off quite a bit cooler for the weekend, but it’ll be back to the hotter stuff before you know it. Maybe going for a walk will be better in video game form?

The THQ Nordic showcase turned up to finish the week, though it was a fairly light affair compared to previous weeks.
- EA is now owned by Saudi Arabian PIF and Trump’s son-in-law’s investment firm – reportedly planning to save $170m in “organisational efficiencies”
- Devolver Digital plans to go private once more (but presumably not like EA)
- The GTA 6 preview drops this month on Netflix
- Dave Bautista in talks to be the new live action Kratos
- Moonlighter 2 1.0 launches in September, first Moonlighter available for free
- Reanimal: The Prisoner DLC adds a fiery new chapter today
- Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites includes 60fps and The Predator, and is a free update
- Gothic II & Gothic 3 Classic console release dates revealed along with a Gothic boardgame
- Titan Quest II update adds Spirit & Crafting to early access
- Beaten Path is a tactical turn based RPG coming in 2027

- Culdcept Begins – NSW2, NSW, PC – 8/10
- Beast of Reincarnation – PS5, XSX|S, PC – 7/10
- The Planet Crafter – PS5, XSX|S, PC – 7/10
- Primal Carnage: Evolution – PS5 – 6/10
Another standout is Big Walk, though we’re still plugging away at it and will have a score soon.
Elsewhere, Jason returned to Heroes of Hammerwatch 2 for is first, but somewhat disappointing DLC, and I got to go hands on with Onimusha: Way of the Sword for another few hours of Genma battling.
And we wrap up for the week with What We Played featuring Beast of Reincarnation, The Mound & Big Walk.
