It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for the PSN Store to update. This week sees the launch of August’s PlayStation Plus content, bringing with it the ability to download the PSN title; Zen Pinball, MediEvil from the range of PSOne Classics and the Blast Off and Alien Zombie Death PlayStation Minis, along with the range of full game trials, discounts, themes and avatars.
As part of the normal weekly store update there is the digital release of LittleBigPlanet and the Gundemonium Collection for the PS3. Along with Ridge Racer and Groovin’ blocks for the PSP. However, this weeks must have (for me, at least) is Tekken 2 – a title which fully deserves the heading ‘PSOne Classic’.
What’s catching your eye this week?

Just checked, and it’s £1.59. Either they got it wrong before, or realised they could charge and people would still buy it…

IW must have a lot of time on their hands to make a demo, or they’re just reusing the demo from E3 last year.

Yeah, it’s the ice climb and the snow mission and skidoo chase

They actually released a Modern Warfare demo, have they only sold 1 billion copies this year instead of 2 billion? Might actually give it a go to see what all the fuss is about. Never been near any Call of Duty game before believe it or not.

Don’t bother. COD4 was far better in one level than the entire game of MW2.

Well, at least I know if I enjoy the MW2 demo in any way to buy COD4 instead for an even better time. ;)

couldn’t agree more cod4 is far superior to mw2 especially the multplayer, an AC130 ain’t got shit on room clearance

I’ve just bought MW1 again from ebay @ £12.00 bargain.
I’ve also borrowed my nephews MW2 and for the life in me I just can’t get into it again. I think killstreaks kill it.

Look I agree COD 4 was better, MP, and single player. I won’t tell anyone not to play MW2 though. Everyone has different tastes. I still have a blast with it with my friend. So if you could get it cheap, I would suggest giving it a try.

It’s actually one of the better parts of the disjointed campaign.
Tip: In the snowy bit after the ice climb, be stealthy.

stat calm and keep progressing also be ballsy luck>all

@Newsky87 Dont run around like a mad man, just stay calm, focused, and also keep the screen/movement to a minimum… you cant spot and kill someone if you move around too much.
Also try and watch what the best player on your team does and try to emulate them.
You’ll get your ass handed to you plenty, but stick at it and you WILL improve.

I sucked at FPS, well i was at best average until I found Killzone 2. The key to not sucking at FPS is to find one you like.
After that its the same old tactic for anything in this world: practice makes perfect. You will never be great at a game you dont like that much.
With FPS being very similar in the way they play your honed skills can on the most part be carried over to other games. Once you are decent you stay decent. Being great however takes a lot of passion or just a natural gift to do.

Why would IW spend money on the bandwidth fees of releasing a demo for MW2 now? Surely any new playstation owner knows at least one person they can borrow the game from so that could act as a demo. Seems a bit pointless.

Maybe they’re hoping RDR is going to drop off the top of the sales chart this month – it won’t take too much of a push to get MW2 back upto number 1 – which would then in turn give them a whole heap of additional press with which to sell even more copies.
Also, I don;t know the stats but how many other games have ever gone back to the number 1 slot so long after they were initially released?

agree totally, why now? all this time after the release?

Sales are probably noticeably tailing off, so why not do something to give it boost, a few more game sales & some potential DLC customers can’t hurt

The choice of level for the MW2 demo is interesting – not really like the rest of the game is that stealthy.
