Splinter Cell HD Trilogy On PSN Tomorrow

Cheaper than the shops. Wait. WHAT?

The shiny HD revamp of the Splinter Cell Trilogy will be available via the PlayStation store tomorrow, a whole month before the physical discs arrive in shops. That is, if  there are any shops left in the country in a month’s time.

The disc version of the trilogy has an RRP of  £29.99 and the PSN version will cost… less? Yes, it’s true, someone has been listening to our constant moaning about the PSN pricing and the download version will cost £23.99 for a digital bundle, or £7.99 each, with discounts for PS Plus owners.

Play.com are selling the disc for £24.98 and Shopto.net have the disc at £23.86, so with the PS+ discount there’s a good chance that the PSN will be the cheapest place to pick up the game.

Ubisoft have had a number of great bargains on the PSN store, the recent AC:B promotion being one of them. Though I prefer to have a physical copy of all my games, if the price is right I might actually download this.

I thought this had dropped off the radar. Awesome news seeing as I just played Conviction and really fancy seeing how it all lead up to it.

no doubt this will be a pricing error and real prices will be £17.99 each or £49.99 for the pack ;P

Really hope this happens. Can’t see it though. The prices are too good to be true anyway AND then PS+ discounts?
If this appears on store at these prices I’ll snatch it.

Nope, it’s on the blog, with 20% PS+ discount on the first game, 10% on the second, and a theme with the third. Or €9.99 each if you’re not on PS+, which is still pretty good.

So it costs £23.99 for the bundle or £23.97 to download them separately? I know it’s not much of a difference but it still doesn’t seem right.

i know what you mean but id rather play this with my brother than play it on my own and if its missing parts of it then its a waste of money i could easily just go buy whatever one on xbox and play it on my 360

Brilliant news, this means I can buy it now before the flood of games that starts from September onwards.

Fantastic! And you buy a £25 instant code from shopto for £23.85! So can have an extra ,£1 odd for you’re wallet.
