Back in April, I (Teflon) made a boo-boo with the date on this article which a few eagle-eyed readers spotted. Instead of Saturday 14th of April that particular round-up was actually for the 14th of July. Handily April and July share the same day numbering, so that we can travel back in time this particular Saturday and set things right.
A bit like Quantum Leap.
Over to Gazza:
It’s been yet another week of us enduring the miserable British summer, so here’s a little joke for you all: What do call a fish with no eye? A fsh. Yeah, I’ll get my coat, but before I go, here’s this weeks Community Round-Up!
Tuffcub is still undergoing therapy after all the fashion disaster entries he recieved to the Gaming T-shirts Comp, but the winners have been announced anyway, so congratulations if it was you!
There’s also the week 3 news and highlights from the TSA DiRT Showdown Tournament, with plenty of videos for your viewing pleasure.

And now to the Meets, let’s see what’s occurring!
Tonight, Bodachi hosts the usual Uncharted 3 meet beginning at 7pm, while tomorrow sees the DiRT Showdown meet at the usual time of 6pm, hosted by R1MJAW.
There’s the regular Gran Turismo 5 meet on Monday at 7pm, followed by Quinkill’s Max Payne 3 meet at 9pm. Then later on in the week, Thursday sees Death_in_Flamez host the BF3 DLC meet at 7pm.
Looking quite quiet so far, but keep an eye out for all the other meets that will pop up during the week, or you could create your own Meet provided you have 250 TSA Points.

Summer is always a bit slower, and once again we’ve only got a couple of reviews this week. If you’re getting into the Olympic spirit, first up is Aran’s 6/10 review of London 2012. Rockstar are renowned for their DLC support and Max Payne 3’s Local Justice sounds great after Jim took a look at it. The PSN release of Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles HD came home with a decidedly average score from Dan.
For the previews, Alex took a look at Dyad, and also the big reveal of F1 Race Stars with a few extra little tidbits following later. Peter’s history lessons continued, this time looking at the Secret Societies in AC3. From the blogs and opinions on TSA this week, we begin with Alex’s view that All Games Should Be 2 Hours Long, while Jim looks at THQ’s future and what’s in store for the Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine IP.
In the Community Chronicle last week, CarBoyCam showed off his gaming rig, while El_Mariachi flaunted his awesome two person LAN party with fellow TSAgent, TheRook21. There’s also plenty of other stuff including comments of the week and achievements of the week too. For WeView, the verdict for Velocity has arrived, as Oddworld: Strangers Wrath HD jumps into the hot seat.
Be sure to catch last Sunday’s Sunday Thoughts on controls, the latest episode of the podcast and What We Played #61 from Greg.

Let’s see what all you mad people have been up to this week in the Forums, remember to sign in to view General Chat!
- Roy asks which sequels have a particularly bad case of sequelitis, and you feel let you down?
- Vangeist asks what’s not to love about Max Payne 3?
- SavageOranges has a thread for generalised exclamations of excitement and astonishment at the Steam Summer Sale.
- And lastly Philbert is suffering from a nasty case of gaming fatigue. Anyone else feeling the same way?
As always, though, there’s plenty more going on in the forums, so dive in and have a look for yourselves.

Last time around we had Faith from Mirrors Edge taking on Sephiroth in the second round of Saturday Morning Showdown’s Head to Head Fight of the Champions. It was a moderately comfortable victory for Faith, defeating Sephiroth 8 votes to 5. So, this week we’ll see Ratchet taking on Faith to see who will be crowned our Champion of Champions!
Ratchet
Pros
- Ratchet is a Lombax, a sort-of feline creature and looks kinda cute!
- Has a vast armoury of futuristic weaponry.
- Also has other equipment such as Hoverboots at his disposal.
Cons
- His sidekick, Clank, seems pretty useless for 95% of the time.
- Those long ears can probably get caught in machinery quite often, and attract strange fetishists.
- Being the last of his race must make his love life a bit complicated. Oh, and the whole looming extinction thingy too, I guess.
Faith
Pros
- Brilliant at parkour, making her a perfect Runner.
- An expert in hand-to-hand combat.
- Can run so fast she can’t be hit by bullets. She’s like a real world Sonic.
Cons
- When she’s NOT running fast enough, those bullets hurt.
- Falls off buildings far too regularly.
- Being an outlaw is cool and all, but boy is it a hard life! Treachery, deceit, man hunts, S.W.A.T. teams… Oh so very stressful. Her blood pressure must be through the roof!
Well that’s it once again. I’m off now for two weeks to top up my tan and get some much needed vitamin D. Don’t forget to vote below and I’ll see you soon!
-This temporally confusing round-up was written by Gazzagb. Have a good holiday!
Origami Killer
Its going to have to be Ratchet for me. I expect the reviews now to be few and far between over the summer. Least we can enjoy the sunshine…oh wait.
Enjoy your two week break Gazza! dont come back with skin cancer :P
FRUIT0FDOOM
Just to point out this morning i’ve posted in the forums to see if there is any interest with you fellow members to dabble in the 360 / PC side of things for meets and stuff.

I think Faith will win again as she is such a legend! Sure Ratchet can get around a level very quickly and is fairly agile, but Faith is faster and smoother :-) Faith only really needs to be nervous about Lara Croft in that department.
An-dz
Go Rachet! although i wish Captain Quark were in his place right now, that guy is awesome.
The Lone Steven
So Sephiroth was defeated by Faith. *mini explosion happens inside his head* :p
Why did Origami get the week off and i was forced to cover him? Was it because i stole Adam’s chocolate due to him banning me from playing One Winged Angel? Because noone and i mean, NOONE bans me from listening to it. Also OK was found doing something that is not very safe for work with a paper xeno. Thanks to him, i had to use up the entire supply of mindbleach.
Gazzagb was found covered in spiders after the round up last week. He says that Tef did it to him. Which is strange as i’m the only one with access to the TSA spider room. Oh and we replaced the time mircowave with a time kettle due to someone trying to abuse it to take over the world. What? It wasn’t me!
Ratchet would win as he can freeze Faith with the liquid nitro gun and smash her in half.
Oh and Roy will be murdering half of TSA later due to his very strong dislike of people not worshipping Final Fantasy and has tried to set up the church of FF multiple times as well as kidnapping people then giving them a 12 hour lecture on why they should love FF. Apparently, his powerpoint presentations are excellent.
rht992
it would start as a fight then Rachet would fire a disco ball, faith would stop running, we’d all drop our guns and have a good old boogie. Sorted.
Sympozium
Brilliant, lol.
MICKY17
Unless I’ve somehow missed it, when do we find out the results of TSA E3 bingo?
hazelam
yeah, i want to know how good/bad i did. ^_^
Sympozium
me like to know to..
Sympozium
Look… I really like Rachect I don’t find him a tad wrong at tall, Faith is cool and the First person view is amazing because of that Faith wins.
Nate
I vote for Sephiroth. Everyone knows the first time you kill a FF villain they come back stronger.
hazelam
this is one i don’t think Faith’s speed will earn her the win, Ratchet is sure to have a weapon to negate that, and he’s not exactly slow himself.
hazelam
so yeah, Ratchet gets my vote if it wasn’t clear.
