It looks like the Mass Effect 3 ending DLC – which is sure to appease the tormented hearts of troubled gamers still reeling from BioWare’s casting aside of three games worth of promises – has been leaked. Or, at least, the brief description of it has.
“An expanded ending for Mass Effect 3,” is apparently the Store/Marketplace blurb. Â “Additional scenes and an extended epilogue reveal the impact of Shepard’s choices on the future of the galaxy.”
Of perhaps more interest (and length) is news of another slice of DLC pie – that for Mass Effect Earth – the multiplayer bolt-on pack that has previously been shrouded in the most secretive of super-secret NDA blankets.
“The fighting is fiercest when it’s your home at stake!” exclaims the description. “Mass Effect 3â„¢: Earth adds mods, gear, and new maps for Rio, Vancouver, and London.”
“It features 3 new weapons,” continues the text, ad verbatim, “Piranha assault shotgun, Acolyte pistol, and Typhoon light machine gun. Six new human N7 classes are also available: Destroyer, Paladin, Demolisher, Slayer, Shadow, and Fury!”
Kotaku cites the leaks – from a Reddit user – as trustworthy because the same source leaked similar information in the past on the game that turned out to be 100% accurate. Perhaps he’s the bloke writing the copy?

I really hope the extended ending is just the real ending and is not Bioware forcing us to pick their chosen ending in order to get what we were promised. If that is the case, i’ll stick to making up my own epilogue for Shepard’s crew. :)

They have said they won’t be changing anything, so hopefully that is still true. It’ll probably require that Earth isn’t lost at the end though.

The additional scenes and the extended ending is what I’m looking forward to most of all. I’ve somewhat lost interest in finishing several other playthroughs I was playing in Mass effect 3 due to being bored with having to deal the endings that’s put me off it altogether. That said though, I wonder how long they’ll last for, as all signs seem to suggest this’ll be a hefty add-on to the ending.

I actually stopped playing this 1 hour in to wait for the extended ending.
Even though not played it to the end so can’t really comment on how bad or not it is.
Don’t spoil it now :)
As for the MP if it’s free cool as i’m enjoying the MP aspect of this game, hell got loads of trophies playing the MP before I’ved hardly touched the Single player game.

Without giving anything away, it left me thinking “Are you Serious?” when I reached the ending.

I still stand by my interpretation, and lot of the internet’s interpretation of the ending. If it turns out to be true, I’ll applaud them for it – it is quite deceptive. If not, like Steven, I’ll stick to my own ending.

this is what people wanted as the choice of endings was bare at least – choices have repercussions, anyone who played through the end knows what I mean by that.
ultimately I think Bioware realized that by upsetting a fan base who supported and loved the Mass Effect universe they were possibly affecting sales in any future IP they produced – once bitten twice shy as the cliche goes
