Call Of Duty: Ghosts Trailer Introduces Squads

While we’ve talked a bit about Squads before in our preview of Call of Duty: Ghosts, this new trailer shows what they’re all about, showing how you can take your squad, level them up and then play in exclusive modes with them.

Although the video gets around to explaining the core concept, I think Stefan really managed to highlight why it’s a good idea in the preview:

Squads lets you fight offline against other AI squads, either on your own with your AI backing you up – their style of play dependent on their loadouts – or in co-op play alongside friends. You can even lead your squad against another player with their squad. It’s an interesting idea, and one which will let you play offline and still collect some experience and rank up; it lets those not so fond of the hyper-competitive online play see everything the multiplayer has to offer.

All good then, offering something a little bit different while still levelling you up. Call of Duty: Ghosts releases on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U on the 5th of November, before releasing on PS4 and Xbox One on the 22nd.

  1. Got an email from amazon saying my new date for the ps4 version is November 5th I think that’s a bit strange it means I’ll have the game 24 days before the computer is even out

    • Or looked at another way at least you’ll definitely have something to play on PS4 launch day! (not including ps+ titles)

Probably just trying to keep it simple by having one big launch event rather than two or more given the next gen platforms launch on different dates in different countries; all within a couple of weeks timeframe starting a fortnight on from their preferred launch date.

  2. a nice addition to the game for COD lovers. Personally prefer the might of 64 players on the Battlefield though. I’ll be giving COD a miss this generation. It doesn’t look any better than current gen, from what I’ve seen so far.

  3. While I prefer BF series, the option of friends vs AI is always a bonus in my circles.
