It seemed like we had a quiet start to the week, and then all of a sudden everything kicked into overdrive as E3 leaks and pre-announcements started coming out left, right, and centre.
With just a couple of days to go, let me know what you’re hoping for from E3 2016, as we begin this week’s Community Round-Up!

We’ll break protocol and start by looking at this year’s E3 articles. This year marks the 8th (yes, 8th!) annual TSA Bingo, for which you have until tomorrow to get your picks in. If you need a bit of help picking your choices, we started our Rumour Round Up with a look at the Third Party Publishers, before moving onto Microsoft and Sony. And if you’re wondering when all of the conferences are taking place, we’ve got you covered with this handy Cheat Sheet too.
From the previews now, Stefan began the week with a look at Yooka-Laylee. After their huge Kickstarter, the platforming game from ex-Rare devs is looking gorgeous. Elsewhere, Dom was busy playing Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, which he believes might just be the last true Sega game.
We next had a smattering of Deus Ex previews, starting with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which follows on from Human Revolution. Stefan also looked at Breach, a brand new gamemode, and also Deus Ex GO. The mobile puzzle style has already had great success with Lara Croft and Hitman, so it’s hard to see this one failing to pull it off.
Moving on, the reviews involved quite a range of scores. In first place, and on a 9/10, we had Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist Of The Mysterious Book. Miguel said the “story is a breath of fresh air, and the unique focus on alchemy and item gathering over combat and grinding helps it stand out even more”.
Next up was Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, a “joyous flight across the rooftops of a gorgeous city” as Stefan called it, when he gave it a 7/10, along with his video review. Dropping to 6/10 was the “solid, if unexceptional” Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, while The Sun and Moon was given a 5/10. Jim said that the game, a product of the Ludum Dare gamejam, could have done with a bit more substance and features.
The last scored review was for Soul Axiom, which Aran gave a 3/10. The unscored reviews however, were much better, with CD Projekt RED raising the bar for what DLC can be with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Blood and Wine, and Hitman series continuing on in Marrakech with Episode 3.
Last week’s Chronicle featured a Microsoft-Oculus partnership and Gran Turismo Sport, while What We Played #257 included Rocket League, Sherlock Holmes & SteamWorld Heist.

Time to open up the Forums and have a look!
- Steven wanted to know what you think about the upcoming Ghostbusters remake, which has certainly divided opinion
Enjoy your weekends, and enjoy E3!

And TSA TEnnis finally started!
What will happen? Will there be any cocks? Will it devolve into the normal dirty pictures game?
