Something For The Weekend – 14/07/18

It turns out it’s not coming home this year, but we had a good run didn’t we? Even though I’m not that interested in football, it was hard to avoid being caught up in the atmosphere of it all. There’s always next time, eh?

Of course, there’s still two matches to go. Who are you backing to nab third place in the repeated Belgium – England match this afternoon? And who’s your money on between France and Croatia?

Anyway, let’s take a look back over the past seven days on TSA…

Games in Review

Let’s check out this week’s reviews…

Reviewed platform in bold.

This Week’s Features

It was another quiet week in the summer lull, which Teflon rounded out by sharing his first impressions of Octopath Traveler, ahead of a review that will land soon.  This was followed by a chat with Mark Backler, who Adee talked with about the uniquely-looking Lost Words: Beyond The Page

Ahead of its release next month, We Happy Few is shaping up nicely after its lengthy development journey, while Tef’s last preview looked at The Bard’s Tale IV. This sequel picks up 150 years after the third game, which released in 1988.

Lastly, What We Played featured Octopath Traveler, God of War & FIFA 18.

Your Achievements

Let’s check in with the community this week:

  • tactical20 got back into and finished Final Fantasy XV, with just a bit of grinding left until the platinum.
  • PS+ provided Crazy_Del with sessions on Life is Strange and Heavy Rain, the later of which he’s hoping to bag the plat for this weekend.
  • MrYd was up to ‘all sorts’ this week, which included Destiny 2,  Defiance 2050, Rainbow Skies, Skyrim VR (thanks to the temperature dropping) and Lumines Remastered.
  • hornet1990 continued his struggle through CoD:Infinite Warfare, which was promptly deleted the minute it was completed!
  • JR. “REALLY” (full caps) enjoyed Vampyr and nabbed the platinum, but isn’t feeling quite the same way just yet about Jurassic World Evolution.
  • Ron_mcphatty is continuing with Gravity Rush 2, which he sounds to be enjoying very much.
  • It was only No Man’s Sky for TSBonyman, who tore a tendon in his shoulder – not playing games I hope? Get well soon!
  • Andrewww was annoyed England didn’t reach the final, so drowned his sorrows with some Elite Dangerous.
  • And lastly, Pixel_nme got the Onrush platinum but found the AI to be too annoying.

If you want to be included in this section, make sure to comment on What We Played of a Friday evening.
