I don’t know about you, but it already feels like we’re hurtling toward the silly season of the video games calendar. There’s just a couple weeks before Gamescom makes its in-person return, and then we’re right into the late summer rush in the closing days of August and into September. So… let’s take a little breather before we get there and recount the week that was in our gaming roundup.

Games in Review
We might be in the middle of the summer holidays for school kids, but they’ll be back in class before they know it. Sure, in real life that will be in early September, but in the virtual world? Well Two Point Campus is out next week (and it’s pretty fab!)

- Frogun – PS5, XSX|S, PS4, XBO, NSW, PC – 9/10

And we had a controller review, for anyone looking for a backup with some perks:

We had just a couple of bonus previews this week, alongside the reviews. I jumped into Turbo Golf Racing, a car and ball sports game where they’ve swapped out the football goal for the fairways and holes of golf. It’s out now in Game Preview and Early Access, and it’s been added to Xbox Game Pass as well.
Alongside that, Jason previewed the story-driven card game of Foretales, which seems to be a really intriguing take on the genre.
And we rounded out the week as always with What We Played, featuring Two Point Campus, Frogun and Hard West 2

Here’s what you in our community have been up to this week:
- willbuchanan mopped up a bunch of platinums this week, including Lego Marvel Super Heroes, My Name is Mayo and Just a Phrase on PS Vita. He also snagged the multiplayer trophies for Assassin’s Creed 3 and started on AC Revelations – he’s not got much time before the servers are switched off at the end of the month!
- Andrewww upgraded to PS Plus Premium, and went back to play Fallout New Vegas. He always wanted to go play it, but it may be the cause for a sudden case of gaming narcolepsy…
- And MrYd finished off the main story of Ghostwire: Tokyo, gave Tony Hawk’s a quick go from PS+, and then jumped into Yakuza: Like a Dragon – “Even by Yakuza standards, it gets a bit weird.” – He’s not 100% sure of it just yet, but come back next week, by which time he’ll probably love it.
Have a great weekend and we’ll catch you on the other side!
