Geoff Keighley and the folks at Insomniac Games have tweeted tonight that the first gameplay footage from upcoming sequel Resistance 3 will be revealed during the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards.
Aside from the announcement, Spike uploaded a brief teaser for the trailer (yes, I know), which we’ve stuck just below:
The event is being held on Saturday December 11th, although it’s as yet unclear if the awards will be broadcast here – last year they were on Fiver. If not, you’ll find the trailers, reveals and news here as soon as we get it.

Since that other trailer launched a while back this is where I want it to head too. Real hell-for-leather scraps with the enemy. Constantly on the run. Makeshift weapons, etc.

I’d really like to watch the VGAs this year as there seem to be loads of announcements and other awesome stuff there. However, there’s no chance it will be broadcasted here in Norway.
Do any of you guys know whether this will be streamed somewhere on the interwebs, a la E3, Gamescom etc, or not?

I think I’m in a minority of gamers who didn’t really enjoy the Resistance games. Though they are great fun, especially R”‘s co-op mode, they’ve always felt unpolished.
