Something for the Weekend – 16/01/21

With the majority of the UK being covered by Met Office weather warnings on top of the national lockdown, there’s not much else to do this weekend except wrap up warm and catch up on some TV and gaming.

Plus, there’s plenty of free weekends going on right now, including Star Wars Squadrons, Dragon Ball FighterZ and Cold War Zombies. So, what will you be playing?

Turning our attention to the previews, Nic went hands on with Persona 5 Strikers and came away thoroughly impressed with the spin-off continuation of the excellent Persona 5 (but not Royal), while Steve shared their thoughts on Little Nightmares II, the sequel to hit horror-come-puzzle-platformer.

With the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC featuring some epic gaming crossovers, Mahin took the time to rank each of the DLC fighters so far, as Emma attempted to answer some of the questions we were left asking after the Dragon Age 4 reveal.

We also concluded our Most Wanted in 2021 articles. Although we haven’t seen much of our top two game so far – in fact, we don’t even really know the name of our #2 pick! – it’s not hard to imagine that Studio Santa Monica and Guerrilla Games’ first outings on the PS5 is going are impress us all. We can’t wait!

Playing out the week, What We Played featured Persona 5 Strikers, Back 4 Blood & Jurassic World Aftermath.
