Something for the Weekend – 07/05/22

After two almost back-to-back bank holidays, I think next week will be a shock to the system having to get through five whole weekdays – luckily for bank holiday fans, there’s only 26 days until the next one!

Still, there’s plenty to enjoy this weekend, with Formula 1 visiting Miami for the first time, and plenty to catch up on in the world of gaming. So, let’s get started!

It was another solid week for the games under the spotlight:

• Persona 4 Arena Ultimax – PS4, XBO, PC, NSW – 7/10
• Nintendo Switch Sports – NSW – 7/10

Rounding off the reviews, we had a lone hardware review from Dom:

• EPOS H3Pro Hybrid Gaming Headset – 9/10

As I mentioned at the start, F1 is in Miami for the inaugural race at the International Autodrome circuit, and Stefan was on hand to provide us with a first look at the track and F1 22:

Meanwhile, Miguel brought us a double preview, first looking at The Legend of Heroes: Trails From Zero, the JRPG that is coming to this side of the world in September.

Following that, he brought us his thoughts on Yurukill: The Calumniation Games, which he says “feels like a recipe for success”, as lastly, Nic went hands on with Honey, I Joined a Cult, that left him suggesting that it could be the “management sim of the generation”.

Finally, What We Played featured F1 22, 40K Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters & Horizon Forbidden West.

Here’s what you in our community has been up to this week:

• hornet1990‘s time has been taken up by wedding planning (I’m not sure if the big day has come and gone or if they’re just getting it sorted), but is nearing the end of BioShock Remastered.
• MrYd is still ‘loving it and hating’ Elden Ring, and is also enjoying Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt, Gran Turismo 7, plus some of the monthly games like Tribes of Midgard and Curse of the Dead Gods.
• TSBonyman’s adventures in Elden Ring continue, reaching Redmane Castle.
