The News At Sixth – 29/10/18

You know what? After all the build up, I really didn’t play much Red Dead Redemption 2 this weekend – the handful of you that tuned into last night’s stream might have picked up on that – and think that it’s going to be a slow burner for me. That and every other game that wants to try and engross me in a wide open world full of a billion things to do…

Still, Rockstar must have done something right in the run up to launch, as Red Dead easily took the top spot on the charts, becoming the second biggest game launch of the year behind FIFA 19 and the third biggest non-FIFA this generation. Not bad for a bunch of old cowboys!

Here’s that and the rest of the news:

Also today…

Five new games are joining the PlayStation Hits range:

  • Until Dawn
  • Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience
  • One Piece Pirate Warriors 3
  • Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

Here’s a rather interesting parkour game from an ex-animator from Witcher 3 and Quantum Break and an ex-programmer from Mafia 2 and DayZ. It’s called Ricky Runner.

And yup, Leisure Suit Larry – Wet Dreams Don’t Dry is just as skeezy as ever, now that he’s on “timbr” and dryly cracking jokes about loot boxes.
