I doubt many fans were expecting a sequel to Brighton in 2015, where Japan triumphed over South Africa, but the hosts of this year’s Rugby World Cup have sprung another stunning surprise on one of the titans of rugby. Beating Irelands means that Japan are now the second best team in the world, right?
In the world of gaming, Sony’s State of Play seemed to go down well this week, especially with The Last of Us II finally getting a release date – here’s a round up of everything we know. There were also a few more surprises, like Civ VI, and a bunch of new PSVR games, meaning we’ve got a lot to look forward to over the next few months!

This Week’s Features
Stefan kicked off the reviews with a look at John Wick Hex, an interesting take on the turn-based genre that features slicker combat gameplay. Sticking with the tactical theme, Desperados III looks perfect for stealth action fans from the makers of Shadow Tactics.
Elsewhere, he brought out his sonic screwdriver for a whirl with Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, and also enjoyed Ghost War, the PvP multiplayer from Ghost Recon Breakpoint that now has some surprising inspirations from battle royales.
Last up, Dom spoke to Jérôme Dureau, Innovation Projects Manager on tori,a fun, family-friendly creative game, as What We Played featured Gears 5, Borderlands 3 & Code Vein.

- Andrewww has been getting stuck into the beautiful Subnautica.
- And last but by no means least, gernboes grabbed their 100th Platinum! Okami HD was the special game, but that tally was quickly added to by Rebel Galaxy and Her Majesty’s Spiffing.
