I’m back in charge! Welcome to my never ending house of horrors. Well, until Gazza can come back and rescue the weekly Community Round-Ups from my thoroughly devious and mildly fetishistic control!
Until then, I’m subjecting your once more to all the delightfully horrendous and oft oxymoronic happenings of TSA from the past week.

We’ve been lucky enough to give away more games than you can possibly count on your fingers and thumbs lately, and so much so, that you’ll be rapidly running out of toes soon too. This week we’ve offered up the chance to win the just released racing game F1 2011 on the PS3.
All you need to do to win a copy is dust off that crystal ball of yours and gaze into the future to predict the top 10 finishers and David Coulthard’s driver of the day from tomorrow’s Singapore Grand Prix. You’ll have be quick about it, though, since entries close at 12PM BST today, which coincides with the start of Free Practice 3. So head to the post here, and quickly bash in some names in the comments section.
Another big giveaway features the latest and hottest Xbox 360 release. Epic have managed to put together some delightfully evocative game trailers for their Gears of War trilogy, and so we put together a competition to win Gears of War 3 along with a Gears of War 3 Vault cover for your 360 Slim where in you have to identify those songs. Just email the answers in before midday Sunday for a chance of winning this.
With the start of the autumnal release window upon us it’s time to give you a little bit of a heads up. We’re going to kick off a bunch of competitive competitions in the next few weeks with a little Resistance 3 competition. So dust off your Bullseye, and head online to get a little practice in. There’s a weekly Resistance 3 meet on Thursday evenings for a couple of hours that you can join, and by all accounts it’s good fun. I hope to see you on the battlefield.

Speaking of meets, there’s a Resistance 3 meet every Thursday… Wait. I just said that, didn’t I? Well why haven’t you signed up for it yet? I mean, really!
Tonight sees the weekly Uncharted 2 meet at 7PM. Sunday will see your usual group of Gran Turismo 5 Shuffle at 2PM, Dirt 3 at 4PM, with SARBPC in the evening at 7PM, whilst Monday has the regular Motorstorm: Apocalypse meet. Through all of this, there’s bound to be a whole host of people getting their race craft on in F1 2011, so just keep an eye out for fellow racers.
I’m sure that between the time of me writing this and the time it goes live several other meets will have sprung up for the coming week. If I remember correctly, there’s often meets for Red Dead Redemption, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and many more besides. Not to mention that this is the week of the Battlefield 3 Beta, that is released on Thursday 29th.
Remember to take a look at the Meets page to check out the other meets that take you fancy, or feel free to host your own meet, provided you have at least 250 TSA points.
Hold on a second. Did I say something about Resistance 3 yet?

As always, TSA has published industrial quantities of front page articles for you to read and comment on.
This week, though, there’s vast quantities of stuff to watch. With Eurogamer Expo starting on Thursday, Peter set of for That London on Tuesday, and decided that he’d do some video blogging for us. The results almost defy description, so I’ll just set you up with links to the first few. You have his Day 0 broadcast, a brief tour of the facilities and Day 1, where the guys wait for Pizza whilst dangerously insane. Many more videos are sure to follow, and I hope they’re all included in this link.
Elsewhere, the weekly WeView feature saw the verdict come back on Angry Birds on Monday, and it’s now the turn of Batman: Arkham Asylum to go under the microscope. You can voice your opinions on the game of the world’s greatest detective in the forum thread here.
Xeroxeroxero is a fairly recent addition to TSA’s writing staff, and he clearly has a few thoughts to share. He took a look at Metacritic, and had a go at analysing what he saw in the top 20 list for each platform, with some rather surprising facts popping up.

The TSA forum is often like a bustling market place. Think Aladdin crossed with Blade Runner and The Land Before Time XIII. You’re right, it does sound like a fantastical and a terribly improbable place. Also, there might be rude words and mature themes.
Maybe it’s not so much like The Land Before Time, then.
- The Welsh are taking over, lately. I share certain sympathies with them, so whilst I only know a single Welsh word it’s pretty funny to see a Welsh only thread pop up to discuss Swansea and their plucky football team.
- The delightful Kovacs popped into the TSA forums just to give Kris a little moral support for the dancing shenanigans he no doubt had to endure during EGX over the last few days. Pingwins Attack!
- Someone call the Waaaaaah-mbulance! Pritchie wants to know what parts of games made you well up with tears like a really girly girl who just broke a nail. You should be warned, this thread has numerous spoilers in it. So, this is your SPOILER ALERT.
- MyPS3Broke, who has one of the most easily comprehended user names I’ve ever seen, is after some short games to play. You see, his PS3 broke, and now that he’s got a new one he’s after good times from games, and lots of them! Also easy trophies.
Right, that’s your lot. Now go forth, TSA acolytes, out into the open world, and spread the good word!
At this point, teflon really has lost the plot, and is now apparently noticing this in the third person.

:) Always an interesting read. I noticed you never mentioned Resistance 3, though.

This used to be my favourite article each week on TSA, but it seems to of gone down hill. Is it a different author or something? I’d much rather have the other guy back, he was way better! ;)

I wonder if any mainland European towns dared to twin with that one, it’d be a danger to motorists with the 6ft signpost covering the road :P
On topic, I see you haven’t lost it tef! ;)
