It feels like every weekend’s a bank holiday at the moment, so it’s going to be a rather odd feeling when Monday’s a regular week day. Don’t worry, though, there’s another bank holiday just a few weeks away.
Even with a shorter week, there’s still been plenty of gaming news, previews and reviews over the last few days.

This Week’s Features
With the Nintendo Switch seemingly going from strength to strength right now, we took a moment on Wednesday, 3rd May, to reflect back on its first two months on the market. Judging by the comments, there’s a fair few of you absolutely loving the console you’ve invested in.
But what if you’re after a true portable? Nintendo surprised everyone when they announced the New Nintendo 2DS XL last week, and having gone hands on with the console, we think it could be the best 3DS so far, despite only gaming in two dimensions.
Beyond that, we had a smattering of previews, starting with my look at Tekken 7. I’m not normally a fighting game fan, but got into the swing of things with the Story mode, Treasure Battle and plenty more besides.
Miguel then ventured into the revived comic book world of Battle Chasers: Nightware, and I pondered if Formula Fusion might just be the spiritual successor to Wipeout we’ve all been waiting for.
Lastly, What We Played featured the delights of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Wonder Boy and Overwatch.

Your Achievements
DividSmythe snapped up the platinum trophy for Severed last weekend, a lovely PS Vita game, and rewarded himself with a Nintendo Switch that has been a home to Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 and co-op with his little one in the simply delightful Snipperclips.
It was Lego City Undercover for JR. who managed to snag the platinum, as well as a second run through Yooka-Laylee, managing to grab a trophy that bugged out on him the first time through, which had kept him away from the platinum trophy at that time.
Meanwhile, Ron_mcphatty has busied himself with clearing up some easy trophies in Critter Crunch, and tactical20‘s new approach to Ghost Recon Wildlands is clear each area of critters… I mean, drug cartel goons before moving on to the next one.
