This week we had our first glimpse of the Wild West in Red Dead Redemption 2. What did you make of the trailer? Do you think Rockstar’s highly anticipated sequel will live up to the hype? As much as I can’t wait to play the game, I’m holding out for the inevitable PC release.

This Week’s Features
Straight out of EGX, Dom wrote about how Monster Hunter World charmed him enough to become what he calls ‘The First Essential RPG Of 2018’, and Tef spends some time in New Orleans for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.
We then carried Middle-earth: Shadow Of War is looking great for those who enjoyed the first, and even relative newcomers such as Tef. Reviews are due out next week, so keep an eye out for those!
And The Evil Within’s sequel is shaping up to receive similar praise with it’s mixture of combat and psychological horror.
If you thought that was enough videos, then you’d be wrong! You can also catch Tef’s capture of Rise of the Tomb Raider in 4K on Xbox One X – it looks stunning – And if you’re thinking of picking up FIFA 18 on the Nintendo Switch, we have a video of a match in the game, while we’ll have some more impressions of this version of the game soon.
Lastly, Ade took a historical look at Battlefield 1 and the weapons missing, while What We Played had everything the gang has been up to this week.

After last week’s bumper line up, we start October in a more relaxed manner. It’s also the one week of the year where the release dates look like terrible review scores!

- Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen – PS4, XBO – 03/10
- The Hunter: Call of the Wild – PS4, XBO – 03/10
- Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game – PS4, XBO, Switch– 06/10
Have a great week, and I’ll see you again soon!

I had a quick look at a friends SNES Mini yesterday, it’s a simple but impressively slick bit of kit. My first console was a Game Gear, then my proper telly one was an N64 which I loved, so I really hope we get a mini one next year. But someone mentioned Goldeneye and licenses, so I think it’d be fair to say that getting a good collection of games together could be more of a legal battle than Nintendo are up for. But then, if they could just get on with it and release a deluge of old games on the Switch then I’d be happy! Pilotwings and Mario 64 please Ninty.
