Games in Review & Featured Articles
Do you like your games all kinds of elastic? Well, check out Crushed In Time, from our small selection of reviews.
- Crushed In Time – PC – 8/10
- Midnight Saturn – PC – 7/10
- NBA The Run – PS5, XSX|S, PC – 6/10
Adjacent to the reviews, we also had a batch of games in Early Access and Switch 2 ports. Dead As Disco is off to a promising start as a musical action game, while Rise of the Tomb Raider is a competent port, and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Switch 2 Edition is a mouthful for a pretty tasty upgrade.
We also had previews of the Roman survival game Romestead, the prologue demo for 1666: Amsterdam, and Owlcat’s next 40K RPG, Dark Heresy. Rhythm Paradise Groove enchanted Reu with its quirky rhythm action, while I had a great time digging into Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, which gives a very different style of action adventure.
After going hands on, we spoke to Resonance’s Lead Writer, Carol Ann Bañuls, and took Crushed In Time’s Associate Producer Freddi Malavasi to task over shipping yet another (deliberately) broken game.
Dom explored how Xbox’s shifting strategy has led to Marcus Fenix fighting in his civvies, and we’ll finish up for the week with What We Played featuring NBA The Run, 33 Immortals and Rune Dice

What have you all been playing?
- Andrewww checked in with his continuing journey through Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden – “It’s interesting, story and atmosphere are quite good. But, there are so many side quests and things to do, so that open world fatigue will definitely set in at some point.” But he’s also really looking forward to Alien: Isolation 2, which was announced last week.
That’s the round up for this week. Hope you have a great weekend (I’ll be watching the 24 Hours of Le Mans) and we’ll see you back here on Monday!
