Something For The Weekend – 10/03/18

Don't forget Mother's Day tomorrow.

The second F1 test finished yesterday, and it was a rollercoaster of a week for me as a McLaren fan. Some days the car finished with either strong lap times or a decent number of laps, while other days the car had broken down before I’d even finished my morning commute! How did your favourite team do and what are your predictions?

Only 14 days until lights out Down Under!

In this week’s collection of reviews, Sony’s hyped up PSVR shooter Bravo Team has sadly fallen short of what gamers were hoping for:

This Week’s Features

Stefan is still getting his thoughts on paper from his experiences with Far Cry 5 the other week. He started off with 10 things he’s really liking, before asking the Creative Director a few questions about the characters, the story, and of course, the grass. He also went hands on with the Map Editor, which certainly looks to be something special.

Elsewhere, Miguel waxed lyrical about the unusual My Little Pony inspired fighting game Them’s Fightin’ Herdsand although Jim’s review of Bravo Team was less than stellar, Tef spoke with Supermassive Games to learn about the challenges of making a VR shooter with a new cover system.

With the Nintendo Switch celebrating its 1st birthday last week, Jake took a look back over the year, and what the rest of 2018 has to bring.

Celebrating International Women’s Day, Tef had a look over the kickass women in video games, including the fictional and real ones.

Finally, TheSixthAxis Pubcast for February was released, while What We Played features Vermintide 2, NBA Live and Yakuza 6.
